What to expect during your first appointment as new patient at Randour Chiropractic Clinic:
Upon arriving at the Clinic as a new patient, you will check in at the front desk. Here you will be given paperwork to complete pertaining to general information about you, past and present medical history, and patient privacy policies. If you have health insurance you will need to have your insurance card and driver’s license along with your co-payment if applicable. We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards as a form of payment.
After all paperwork is completed:
- MEN – you will be escorted directly to an exam room and asked to remove coat, shirt, and empty all items from pockets.
- WOMEN – you will be escorted to a changing room where you will be given a gown to change into, only removing articles of clothing from the waist up (coat, shirt, bra) and then escorted to the exam room.
These procedures are necessary because during the initial examination of the spine, the treating doctor will first ask a detailed history about your condition then perform a myo-vision muscle test on the spinal muscles of your neck and back. The doctor may also perform an x-ray.
After initial tests are completed, you will be escorted to a treatment room where the doctor will further evaluate your condition. Once the doctor has reached a diagnosis, you will be placed on the appropriate treatment table and an adjustment will be administered. After treatment, the doctor will provide recommendations on how to improve your conditions at home.
Once treatment is complete, you will receive therapy to decrease symptoms and help facilitate the adjustment you have received. When therapy concludes, you will re-dress and should return to the front desk to reschedule and checkout.
Your first appointment will take approximately forty-five minutes to complete, so please allow for this time when scheduling.
